Hawkgirl became a member of the Justice league of America in issue #146 (September 1977), yet she did not appear again in within the series until #149 (December 1977). In the story titled “The Face of the Star-Tsar,” the League’s satellite (22,300 miles above the equator), is invaded by their longtime foe Doctor Light. The team is aided by a wannabe hero named Privateer.
